BEA Mentor

Wow a great picture taken by Amanda Glasspell (http://www.aegphotos.co.uk)

What a fantastic team to represent BEA Mentor team for the UK. It's great that I can give more support to people thinking about a cochlear implant now that I'm an BEA Mentor.

What a great opportunity to be able to help this way and give reassurance that all will be ok because with my cochlear implants I'm able to achieve many things.

So if anybody thinking about a cochlear implant feel free to contact me.

Congrats Elaine. I am Cochlear Advocate. I had the training last november, it was very interesting but tiring though! Learnt loads. Did SOECIC put you forward to it?

Hi Kim,

Actually I knew about Hearing Journey a long long time ago but family commitments has kept me on my toes! So now I'm allowing a little of my time each day to try and help others!

You know your quote reminds me of something I have written on a photo that is inscribed with this:

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you...."

It is awesome and inspiring and gives me sanity! ;-)

Thanks Kim for your kind comments.

Hi Charlotte

How are you?

Congratulations on being a Cochlear Advocate. You know I went to SOECIC last month and saw Dr Tom Caul who was visiting from Australia and he talked about Cochlear Awareness Network (CAN). So you'll be familiar with this. Such interesting stuff on that day - shaln't forget it for a long time.

No SOECIC didn't put me up to it. I was asked if I would like to be a Mentor from AB. No pressure - they were very easy going about it. Yeah I did learn a lot from the BEA event recently.
